An immaculate symphony

Herd the sheep in droves
They kick and scream for more
Sheer their fluffy wool
Store and preserve their soul
Voice lectured your fear
When the shouting grows a little near
Cut their chords and ties
They live on factory lies
Grass blades itch your body
For reasons well unknown
I think of myself as anybody
Wanderer in soul
Time presses on, no reason or rhyme
Behind those gold gates
In front of rainy days, sky crushing window gaze
Toss me a reason, I'll throw you hesitation
Ignore your state of mind
Stuck in the shade; a psychedelic air raid
Asking us to ignore the health care line
A dove perched and a crow beside
Fly harmoniously
An immaculate symphony
Souring o'er the evenings great tide
Great walls filled with bricks, layered by the middle class
All stifle their man made projects
As the devil in the red dress walks by with sass
Listen to the breeze, you can if you try
It seems that we'd rather not
In spite of popular belief, good shepherds tell lies
We ignore the words our nature speaks
The soil in the ground, we trek through with our feet
Geysers erupt, leave us standing in awe
Suppose a volcano erupts, do we still lose our jaws?
When at a standstill, where do you suppose we sit
When you've taxed our seat cushions
Still disc jockey's spin hits
I ask you this my friends
behind your brass name plates
Do you polish your medals
Before your wives awake?
A rich mahogany casket
Is where you all belong
If a sin is really a sin
You've committed them all
You've committed high treason
Guilty of every crime
You live with the comfort of knowing you can take a bum's last dime
Nuclear strike, then what then?
I believe what it is; what we're all meant to be
Is the dog of the hero's son
In a cage, we aren't free
Good night and good morning
I guess we're all here just to have fun
